Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer to deliver a customer focused planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service to all Electrical Systems in order to meet our client and statutory obligations on site at The Broadway Shopping Centre, Bradford.

This is a shift position working 7 days in 14 days including 1 weekend. Working hours are 07:00 – 19:00 Monday to Saturday, 09:00 – 18:00 on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The Electrical Shift Engineer will be responsible for all reactive and PPM electrical maintenance across the shopping centre for the landlord.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Carry out skilled routine PPM and reactive call outs as directed by supervisor or the contract admin/service centre
  • Report and repair damage and faults on Electrical infrastructure and any associated equipment and carry out service maintenance tasks as directed to relevant standards.
  • Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings ensuring all asset risks are identified and followed up
  • Work on own and as part of a team representing NG Bailey Facilities Services in a professional manner
  • Work in accordance with given instructions, safe working practices and method statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner
  • Follow procurement practices as directed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas including plant rooms, workshops and storage areas
  • Work safely, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of self, colleagues, customers and visitors
  • Focus on customer needs and customer preferences using ‘customer care’ concepts in theory and practice including needs of internal customers in administration and operational teams
  • Deliver excellent customer service within a client facing environment across a full scope of duties. and be proactive in providing innovation and good practices to the building.

Requirements

You will have:

  • Practical experience carrying out PPM’s and undertaking routine Electrical Repairs and Maintenance in line with SFG20 or equivalent with basic fault finding diagnostic experience.
  • Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential)
  • Qualified in City and Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 OR equivalent
  • Qualified in City and Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition or 18th Edition
  • Previous working experience as an Electrician.
  • Excellent customer service skills – very client facing
  • IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)
  • Safe system of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable)
