BBC Radio Leeds – New Voice campaign

Excitement is buzzing at Broadway Shopping Centre as we prepare to welcome BBC Radio Leeds from 25th to 28th March as part of their New Voice campaign. On the 26th, catch Gayle Lofthouse presenting her morning show live from the mall!

Inspired by Bradford’s superstars like Anita Rani, Jonny Bairstow, Kimberley Walsh, Nohail Mohammed, and Dynamo, the campaign aims to unearth the diverse talents and stories of our vibrant city. These notable figures, along with many others, are encouraging individuals to showcase their love for Bradford by recording a 45-second demo explaining what the city means to them.

From 25th March, aspiring voices can visit Broadway for tips on creating their demo and to learn more about this incredible opportunity. Representatives from BBC Radio Leeds will be on hand to provide guidance and answer any questions. This is a chance for budding talents to join the BBC team and help report on Bradford 2025, a year brimming with over 1,000 performances and events, including festivals and collaborations both national and international.

No experience is required – whether you’re a seasoned presenter or a novice storyteller, if you have a passion for Bradford, this is your moment to shine. The New Voices Bradford winner(s) will receive a platform across TV, radio, digital, and online platforms to celebrate the city’s essence and share its untold stories.

Join us at Broadway from 25th March onwards, and let’s be a part of Bradford’s journey to 2025 and beyond!
